So you want to know more about me? Okay, here some parts of my story:
I was born in 1971 in Herisau, Switzerland. Until I was about
10 years old my parents moved several times to different towns in Switzerland.
We ended up in Olten, a small town in the center between Zurich, Bern, Basel,
and Luzern.
After having finished my apprenticeship at the swiss railway I went to England for three months
to improve my English. Afterwards I started my studies at the Fachhochschule Muttenz in order to get my
Bachelor degree.
I began my working career as an IT-Manager at Dihart AG a reaming tool manufacturer there I got
my first experience with Windows, Novel, Unix and humans using computers.
After 3 years I decided was time to change and see something else.
From August 1998th til 2006 I worked as a System Manager and Support Senior
Manager with the IT-Support Group (ISG.EE)
at the Department of Information Technology
and Electrical Engineering of the Swiss
Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich.
Since January 2007 I'm working for Oetiker+Partner AG a consultancy company based in Olten. As IT-Systemengineer and Consultant.
After Doris and I had been together since 1990 we finally decided to have a
big party and get married. What a great day! We spent our honeymoon in Iceland.
I truly recommend visiting the wonderful country, especially in summertime,
when the nights are short and the days long.
